Vista Ultimate Upgrade 32-bit SlimServer 6.5.1 Default Vista Firewall is on (I've made no adjustments to allow Slim to work, and eventually Slim did work beause of other thnigs I tried. My firewall didn't seem like an issue.) AVG Anti Virus 7.5
When I first installed SlimServer it simply wouldn't start, or SlimTray would show that it has started but it hadn't, or Slimtray wouldn't show the server as started but it had started. Occasionally the web interface wouldn't open (Firefox 2.0.0.1), but sometimes it would work for a bit. When Slim would run, it would run for a time and then crash - I'd see an error box informing me that Slim.exe had crashed. When I was first scanning my library, scanner.exe would crash all the time. At the moment everything is working perfectly after I set the slimsqld service to Automatic and the slim service to Automatic (Delayed) I never had an issue with my Squeezebox2 talking to my server in my network, and I've accessed the server from outside the network.
