I'm not sure I fully understand your question but, if it's any help, I
run SlimServer on a Mac Mini running OS X and I don't need to be logged
in for SlimServer to run. I *think* that's what you're trying to do and,
if so, the answer is yes. Your reference to Windows makes me think you
may not be running OS X though...
