Hello, I'm having the exact same problem with my 2 year old SB2. It worked flawlessly for nearly 2 years until recently. I haven't done any firmware or software updates in over 1 year. Not sure what versions I have installed.
It's very frustrating. As described the remote works for a few button presses at the beginning of each listening session then starts freezing up. The songs play unaffected. All buttons are non-responsive. I'll also try disabling most plug-ins but I believe they are already stripped down. Any other suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.
