OK, it's probably not the SB2/SB3 firmware bug, then. :-/ Have you recently installed/upgraded Windows Media Player? I've seen posts suggesting that WMP 11 conflicts with the TCP port used by Slimserver for the Web UI and providing audio to Squeezeboxes:
