mplayer is very suspicious of streams and seems to prefer to autodetect the stream type from the content and not the headers. Most of the time it does a very good job.
If you use this command you will see it is trying to decode the stream as video and OGG amongst other things - Not sure why but mplayer is eventuallky convinced there is a companion video stream and so it waits for it to start. mplayer -v -v -playlist http://woxy.lala.com/stream/aac32.pls The following tells mplayer to use decoders and protocol specific to an AACplus over ICY links and not to auto detect - and so it starts quickly Code: -------------------- mplayer -ac faad -demuxer aac -playlist http://woxy.lala.com/stream/aac32.pls -------------------- The above options are used by my conf file entries to force the issue for Slimserver as Slimserver examines the ICY-CONTENT header to determine how a stream should be handled. -- bpa ------------------------------------------------------------------------ bpa's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=1806 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=33455 _______________________________________________ discuss mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/discuss
