I can confirm that the artist and album sort tags in iTunes play nice with SlimServer. I'm not using the SlimServer "use iTunes" feature, however, so I can't say if SlimServer reads the iTunes sort tags in that mode (I run a script that builds m3u's from my iTunes playlists and SlimServer uses those).
At some point, and I'm not sure when, iTunes converted my ID3v2.4 tags to ID3v2.3. When I converted those mp3s back to id3v2.4 tags, things didn't work all that well in SlimServer re. sorting. Apparently, iTunes isn't using the TSOA and TSOP tags, but whatever they're using, SlimServer reads it (man, SlimServer kicks ass). Sorry I can't give more details. I did this a couple of weeks ago and have forgotten exactly what was off. I was just happy to have things in sync between iTunes and SlimServer for once. I decided to just enjoy the music and be happy that it works the way I want. -- FunkyOdor ------------------------------------------------------------------------ FunkyOdor's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=183 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=33564 _______________________________________________ discuss mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/discuss
