http://www.rsnapshot.org/faq.html Make sure you follow the link to Wikipedia about Hard Links if you're not familiar with them. An ancient Unix filesystem trick, but very useful in this case. (Not at all the same as Symlinks which are more like "Shortcuts" in Windows... a hardlink is exactly the same as whatever it copies. It uses the same disk space, and you can have thousands of filenames pointing to exactly the same spot on the disk.
