Thanks, Sean! oreillymj: If you look at those who mod the SB, there were those who would replace the prior DAC with the KE version (I believe the KE also comes in the Transporter). Then SlimDevices started shipping the black SB3s with the KE DAC. I have not A/B'd the two DACs so I really don't know first hand how much difference it makes. I just have heard through the Internet rumor mill that the KE is the super DAC.
