That message means a firmware upgrade could not be performed (you requested one by pressing and holding the brightness button). How do you exit SqueezeNetwork to wake your slimserver? I wonder if this is not a case of WOL not working, but an interaction between WOL and using SqueezeNetwork in the firmware.
