Good question. AAC is supported through transcoding. In a typical SlimServer + SB scenario transcoding works well and there is no problem. AAC support in firmware is needed when you want to avoid transcoding. For example when SlimServer is setup on a NAS or the music is stored online ( Oboe Locker ). Someone could argue that these are very specific scenarios and that number of users interested in the requested enhancement is tiny. However, since both WMA and OGG support was added to the firmware in the past, there is still hope that this will be addressed in the future... -- shvejk ------------------------------------------------------------------------ shvejk's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=1337 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=34130 _______________________________________________ discuss mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/discuss
