Yes, the Russound has sufficient sensitivity adjustments to turn on even at low volumes. I also use Slimservers "Preamp Volume Control" option for further fine-tuning. The Russound also has TWO inputs with auto-switching to whichever source is active. I haven't tried that feature yet, but do plan on eventually feeding my TV audio thru it.
