Interesting stuff guys. I'm of the opinion that it's ok to lend your friend a few albums whilst he gets his ripped. By a few I would say two or three, not hundreds. No record company will ever sue you, they'd just look stoopid.
I don't know about anyone else here but I've been lent many albums in the past that I've liked so much I've gone out and bought them. I for one, just love being able to hold the real thing. I enjoy looking at the album art, reading through the little booklet, looking at the pictures, just as much as listening to the album itself.
