Ben, In order to clean things up I re-installed a clean copy of the html and made a copy the Nokia770 folder - called spookily N800! The only alteration I made is to re order the icons on the home page.
I also re-flashed to a clean copy of the 2007 image, patched the kernel to support SDHC cards and set up dual boot onto a brand new Adata 8Gb card. Everything seems to be behaving now. I've looked through all of the html in the folder and I can't for the life of me work out how the music-magic plugin is being picked up, and why it appears on the now-playing list of fishbone but not on the Nokia skin. In fact it seems that the ONLY pages of the Nokia skin that don't display the music magic icons are the status and current playlist pages. While with the unit connected to my main HiFi I can use the IR remote, I can't with the 3 Squeezeboxes I'm installing next week for whole house audio as they are going to be hidden in a media rack and controlled soley over WLAN using N800s. Could someone who understands how the html fits together better than me and can install MusicMagic see if the code can be patched? I'm at a loss I'm afraid.
