I have been reporting recently in several posts that my SB2 stopped
working a few weeks ago, and that it no longer connects to the
Slimserver. Multiple scenarii have been considered.
After browsing for hours through this forum, I have no longer had the
time to enjoy my music, but I have learned:
- how to comprehensively remove traces of the Slimserver on Apple's OS
X.
- how to look at the log file.
- that several customers have similar problems since upgrading to OS
X.4.9
So I have performed the following;
- completely removed the Slimserver and other parts of the software.
- performed a clean install of the software.
- re-initialised the device with the ADD button.
- look at the log.
and I find that a number of error messages are logged only after the
software install, computer restart and when the first connection
attempt is performed via the remote control.
For me it's chinese but maybe some developpers out there understand it
and can help me to listen to music again, or find a solution helping
many more people than just me. In the meantime, I can no longer use the
SB2, and will disconnect it.

...at least when the device works.
