The main problem with tags is that mp3's often contain *both* ID3v1 and ID3v2 tags, and that the two sets might contain different data. Applications tend to treat these differences in different ways, that's why files that show up okay is iTunes may look bad in SlimServer. Furthermore, different SlimServer builds treat tagging issues differently, that's why sort orders and other things can change after an upgrade.
There's no reason to keep two ID3 versions in your files, so the best approach is to remove all your ID3v1 tags (while making sure that the ID3v2 tags are good). This is the essence of the *'Mp3tagGuide' (http://wiki.slimdevices.com/index.cgi?Mp3tagGuide)* instructions. Give it a shot before looking elsewhere for solutions! /Mats -- MatsLarsson ------------------------------------------------------------------------ MatsLarsson's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=5815 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=34690 _______________________________________________ discuss mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/discuss
