There is always a chance, but it's not as simple as it may seem.  The 
translations are all based on the ISO 639 codes:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_ISO_639_codes

As you can see, there isn't an official code for the variants of 
English, so to do it would require an overhaul of the language 
handling.

I've been using custom-strings.txt for some time now to alter certain 
strings.  it avoids the need for a complete strings file saved over the 
standard, and it isn't overwritten when you install a new version of 
slimserver.
