This is not a terribly complex issue to grasp. Frankly there is no technical reason that either can't work perfectly for you. Where people have problems is either due to their specific situation (a poor phone or cable line to their residence) or a local provider who doesn't do a very good job. I have fantastic service from AT&T DSL here in St. Louis and the local cable internet company I had before that was (and still is according to the local newspaper and Better Business Bureau) terrible. But that tells you nothing about your situation. It could easily be the opposite. If you followed my experience you'd be making the wrong choice in that case. Go to www.dslreports.com and you can see that every company has both positive and negative situations, but often you can spot a pattern for your community. Their web site allows you to narrow the search by State and includes both DSL and cable providers. -- mlsstl ------------------------------------------------------------------------ mlsstl's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=9598 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=34900 _______________________________________________ discuss mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/discuss
