I'll also add that Airports don't play well with non-Mac devices
as a rule - ESPECIALLY when trying to manage multiple spots, as
you are. Our little company has replaced *dozens* over them
over time for these reasons.
I'm not surprised to see your signal strength at 50% only a
few feet from one - that's a norm that I'm used to seeing
with multiple OSs trying to connect to multiple Airports
in a variety of settings.
