I have a Mac Mini and not only am I concerned about the extra wear and tear on the internal drive, but I find that the internal drive is much slower for ripping anyway. It really is a laptop drive afterall. I have a leftover internal drive from an old PC. I just sits on my desk, no external case or anything. I have a USB/IDE adapter I bought at newegg.com for something like $10 or $20. It works great and rips are faster. No special drive needed. An added benefit is it moves the heat out of the Mini case. Also, this way I can just toss the drive and use yet another old spare I happen to have if necessary. _______________________________________________ discuss mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/discuss
