Thanks, all. @ Skunk: A soft start circuit wouldnt really do anything about the noise when powering off.
@ freelunch: Totally agree. IMO it must be simple to do something about this just by adjusting the software. Maybe I dont understand what is implicated, though. It seems a bit old fashioned that you will have to follow a strict step by step routine in order not to damage your equipment just by turning off the source. Does any of you Slim guys out there have an opinion on this?
