On PC#1 (Slimserver): Running Slimserver 6.5.1 under Windows 2003 Server
with all music stored on a separate partition. (C: OS / D: Music)
On PC#2 (CAP): Running iTunes 7.02.16 under WindowsXP SP2 with all
music stored on a mapped drive on the W2K3 Server.

This configuration is great since I want to use iTunes to import or
export music to/from my music Server PC under the stairs.

I have a mapped drive on the XP machine of "My Music" where the iTunes
database is held.
I can see it on the W2K3 Server under drive Z:
If I explore "Z:" I can see the mapped drive "CAP\My Music", and it
contains the file "iTunes Music Library.xml", which I believe is where
the iTunes Playlists are stored.

Slimserver is running as Service on the W2K3 Server.

When I set Slimserver to point to this, (under Server Settings >>
iTunes >> ITUNES MUSIC LIBRARY.XML LOCATION), I get the following error
message at the top of the page:

New value for iTunes Music Library.xml Location rejected:
Oops - "z:\iTunes Music Library.xml" doesn't seem to be a valid file.
Try again.

If I stop the Service and run in a CMD window in debug mode - the web
page accepts the "z:\iTunes Music Library.xml" entry.
I discard and rescan the database and my iTunes Playlists are
accessible through the Slimserver and Squeezebox 2 systems.

Reverting back to running Slimserver as a Service and the iTunes
Playlist's are lost on the next rescan at 4am the following morning.

My debugging commands are:
"C:\Program Files\SlimServer\server\slim.exe" --d_plugin --d_source
--d_remotestream

My Version info is:
SlimServer Version: 6.5.1 - 11206 - Windows Server 2003 - EN - cp1252
Perl Version: 5.8.8 MSWin32-x86-multi-thread
MySQL Version: 5.0.22-community-nt
AlienBBC-v1.06_6.5

Any suggestions resolving this problem, since iTunes is the simplest
way to make up playlists?

regards,

Colin
