Agree with Deadkenny on Parcelforce. On one occasion they put a card through someone else's door and then sent the package back to Hawaii when I did not collect it. Needless to say they sent it back surface mail but it did arrive back with the maker, three months later.
My UPS package (a Sutherland Ph.d phono stage) referred to earlier arrived today. UPS rang me on Friday and took customs payment via CC over the phone - 23% of price - ouch! Happily I have been able to find a Transporter in the UK - ordered Friday, here this morning.
