I have 3 SB3's and they are working fine. The only problem that I have
is that one is in my loft which has a skylight so it is a very bright
area. It is difficult to see the SB3 display even on the brightest
setting (it is not in direct sunlight). I never thought too much about
this until recently when I bought a Roku M1001. I bought the Roku to
use in my bathroom because it has an optional wall mount. When I was
setting up the Roku I noticed how much brighter the display was when I
had it in my loft. I could easily read the display. I have the SB3 on
the brightest setting, I tried swapping the one in the loft for another
one so I know that there isn't a problem with the unit itself. Is there
any way to get it to be brighter? It may be that the smoked plastic
cover is dimming it but I don't know if there is much that I can do
about that. Also, BTW, I returned the Roku because it worked very
poorly.
