I run 14 players with very few problems. Main issue is synced players sometimes get stuck and have to be restarted. Never any problems if not synced.
Players are all wired (never saw the point of a wireless product that is tethered to power and audio connections anyway). I run my server 24/7. My players display the weather/time plugin when idle which is VERY nice and I imagine would look good to a prospective customer. Looked at Sonos but did not like the "display on the remote" paradigm.
