For me, the poor FF/REW functionality is the one key flaw of the Squeezebox.
I have a few large mp3 files (things like recorded concerts that haven't been split) and from time to time I want to forward through them. I can do so on my portable mp3 player, but don't ever bother trying on the Squeezebox.
