Hi Adam: I had a Universal for a while and had that same problem! Anyway, found this "fix" at xda-dev: "When connected to WIFI network, TyTN tries to launch a 3G/GPRS connection instead of using WIFI. Check under Settings - Connections - Connections, if your GPRS settings are set under "My ISP" or "My Work Network". If you don't need to use proxy servers I recommend you to put them under "My ISP", so you don't have troubles. Then go to "Advanced" and make sure that you have this settings: Programs that automatically connect to the Internet should connect using: My ISP. Programs that automatically connect to a private network should connect using: My Work Network. Then go to Settings - Connections - Network Cards. Select your WIFI card, and make sure that you have this setting: My Network card connects to: The Internet BUT if you have your GPRS setting under "MY work network" then, here put "Work", it just has to be the same as in GPRS settings, so wifi is prefered over GPRS. You'll have to "disable" wifi and "enable" it again every time you do changes in the Network Card settings. Then it should default to wifi if its connected. If you have directpush, disable it while connected to wifi and make sure that all existing browsers, mail apps, any web enabled apps (like messenger) are all properly shut (settings, system, memory, running programs) otherwise they may prompt the device to use the gprs/3g connection you were using with them. " It took care of the switching to gprs problem for me. -dale -- shadowboxer ------------------------------------------------------------------------ shadowboxer's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=8302 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=35549 _______________________________________________ discuss mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/discuss
