Couple of suggestions: 1) Post this issue on the Linux/Unix forum board, where Debian/Ubuntu experts are more likely to see it.
2) Give more detail on "I can no longer access Slimserver." Do you mean from a Squeezebox? Or you can't establish a web session? Have you looked at logs? That kind of thing. I should mention that I've been successfully running all the nightly Slimserver releases since pre-6.5.2 on Ubuntu 7.04 i386 Desktop version. I did run into problems with the AMD64 server version which led me to switch (I didn't try SS on the i386 Server version of Ubuntu). Not sure you can get back to 6.5.1 without a total uninstall of 6.5.2 and reinstall from scratch.
