I don't buy online music. Don't like DRM, and more importantly I don't like the poor encodings of many online services.
Whilst CD isn't the best quality, it is however generally better than a lot of online music. Sadly the assumption is most people don't care about quality and only want portability. Anyway, I buy CDs (which are very cheap now) and rip them all to Flac and store on big hard discs on my server. If I want to play on my portable (non-Apple) MP3 player I just convert to MP3. When I can be assured that all music downloads are guaranteed to work in any player I buy, forever, and are at least the same quality as CD, and are no more expensive than a CD which is often between £5 and £10 now, then I might be interested. -- deadkenny ------------------------------------------------------------------------ deadkenny's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=6722 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=35446
