There are solutions and there are solutions. :) Main thing to remember
is that if you play CD in your PC and want to listen to it on your main
system, you have to get up and walk to the PC in order to skip track -
not very effective, especially if they aren't on the same flor. My
solution was to buy $50 DVD player and attach it to my main system -
good for reviewing CDs and gives you pretty much an idea how it is
going to sound trough SB. All that while sitting in your chair with the
remote in your hand.

The sound stage will open up, bass will tighten and the imaging will
improve. DVD performance will also increase substantially.
