The plugin author contacted SD and sent the MAC address (00:04:20:06:4d:a9). I'm not a great solderer, but I don't think I was stupid enough to let the AC voltage near the SB. Anyway the setup has been working for a year with a different SB3 without any problems so it's probably OK. It would've been nice to have heard that the problem was unrelated to AmpSwitch for me, the author and any other AmpSwitch users.
