You could try album cover art downloader - I finally found it on the web here:
http://www.mp3buzz.net/files/albumart-1.6.0-setup.zip You can select a whole directory. It's not fool-proof by any strectch of the imagination but I found it a good start as I was trying to do circa 500 albums in one go. Strangely it found some of my really obscure stuff and not some obvious ones.
