At the risk of stating the obvious, we pay what we AND the seller agree it is worth, whether the seller is new shrink wrapped retail or 2nd-hand. And if the price is too high for the buyer or too low for the seller, there's no deal. If you can't find someone willing to sell at what you think it's worth, that's hardly a justification for illegal downloads.
