Heheh, I'm not kidding when I say my iPhone is probably the best gadget
I've purchased since my Squeezebox - it really is *THAT* cool. I'm no
Apple fanboy either - I'm on a PC in fact and the only other Apple
product I own is a 60 Gig iPod Photo that I use in my car (and with an
Altec Lansing iM7 boombox in the yard).

I find myself surfing the web more comfortably than any other handheld
device I've tried. I did buy the Nokia 880 when it first came out, but
promptly returned it as I found the restriction of just WiFi an issue.
That said, although Edge is *DIRT* slow (some pages take up to 100
seconds to load fully), I do enjoy the WiFi intelligence behind the
iPhone. The auto-switching and smart search (while reserving power) is
just brilliant and works seemlessly.

Amyway, your 770 skin works nicely on the iPhone, but it's not without
a few caveats. First of all, and I'm not sure if you remember my
review of your 770 skin on the PSP, but I seem to experience those line
breaks while scrolling down again. I don't have a camera handy to take
a shot of my iPhone yet, but look at my old PSP review shot to see what
I mean.

Also, since it was originally formatted for the Nokia 770 (and filled
the screen nicely on said device, as well as the 880), it displays on
the iPhone nicely but obviously appears slightly smaller since the
iPhone's screen is smaller. Although you can zoom in with finger
gestures, it's one more thing you have to do compared to the 770/880.
That said, the convenience and ass-kicking coolness of the iPhone's
touchscreen is light years ahead of the 770/880.

Plus it's an iPod Video (nano), cell phone, personal data assistant,
and portable *ANYWHERE* web device - always in my pocket and ready to
go. ;-)

The last caveat is that there is no way to place a shortcut for
Slimserver on, say, the iPhone's main screen to launch Safari right
into it. You have to hit the Safari icon, then hit your favorites,
type in the first couple of letters of whatever you named your
Slimserver favorite, it pops into the address bar, and then select it
to go there.

Whew!

Ahhh well, no biggie - it's still kick ass. ;-)
