Alright I present a problem which to me, in my limited programming /
database experience, makes very little sense. I've been attempting to
get SlimServer to scan my library in entirety, but each time ti does so
it crashes at exactly the same spot on a certain file. I brought this up
directly with Logitech support, but they were unable to replicate the
problem. Indeed, if I scan ONLY that folder my SlimServer is capable of
reading and recognizing it. However, when I have it search and catalog
the entirety of my library, it crashes upon reaching this particular
folder. After many various and assorted "tests" generated by Logitech
Customer Support I finally just got frustrated, decided I had other
more important things to do besides spend hours working on that, and
went off to do other things. Thus the Logitech Customer Support ticket
has expired. Tonight I decided to mess around with it yet again and the
same problem is persisting, but I found an interesting quirk. If I make
a playlist which is the entirety of my library and tell SlimServer to
scan ONLY my playlists (which, incidentally, the only playlist
available is the one I created which has the entire library in it)
SlimServer manages to scan my entire library and generate a listing
based off of what is in the playlist.

So I'm sure you're probably scratching your head at this point, because
yes, it makes no sense. Obviously there isn't a MySQL conflict if it's
able to generate the library, the issue just seems to be when
scanner.exe attempts to scan the library without a playlist in
reference. I can, of course, simply update that playlist each time I
add a new album, but I'd rather get to the root of the problem and fix
it there.

Note: This has also been sent to support at slimdevices dot com. Just
figured I'd let more minds have a whack at it.
