This looks like the same problem I had with one album. The software I used to rip it (Windows Media Player) left the Artist tag empty (usually it doesn't), but it did put the artist name in the Album Artist tag. I updated the mp3 tags, putting the artist in the Artist tag and did a rescan. That fixed it for me.
