Hi, I was running the Slimserver tests to see if I could pinpoint a signal problem on my network. I occaisionally get this message when running bitrate tests.
Control Connection : OK Streaming Connection : Inactive Signal Strength : OK Server Response Time : OK It does that for a bit, then a minute or two later it's fine again. I wondered if that's normal or not? Also when running these tests am I meant to be playing music at the same time? Because there's a marked difference. When not playing music I can get about 1000kbps at 100% and even 5000kbps has an average over 80%. But while I play music through the Squeezebox my rates drop to looking something like this: Tested at 192kbps < 10 : 0 : 0% < 20 : 2 : 1% < 30 : 10 : 3% # < 40 : 27 : 9% #### < 50 : 27 : 9% #### < 60 : 30 : 10% ##### < 70 : 28 : 9% #### < 75 : 12 : 4% ## < 80 : 4 : 1% < 85 : 7 : 2% # < 90 : 6 : 2% # < 95 : 3 : 1% < 100 : 0 : 0% >=100 : 144 : 48% ######################## max : 100.000000 min : 15.789474 avg : 76.510294 More about my network: Currently running a Linksys DG834G router on the 3rd floor of the house. The Squeezebox 3 is in the basement. Originally the singal was about 20-30%, however I added a Netgear DRE54G range expander and the signal boosted to 100%, only to randomly drop to 30% again and stay there.
