Thanks Mark. Did that, but no luck. Actually I found since I posted my query that when pushing the volume real high I can faintly hear the channel I thought was completely missing. I got to try with another cable to make sure it's not the cable, but it's 5-m long (the SB is on my desk for legibility and the system elsewhere in my office) and I have no spares that long. I'll also do a swap with the other SB to lift any doubt.
