Make sure that you've used the setting for Atwork AND Artwork thumbnail (if you use SS7, you only need the one) and then done a FULL wipe and rescan. thumbnails are only collected after a full scan. This is a requirement in order for the variable naming to work (one possible future is for this to go away simply because requiring a full scan in a pitb).
