I don't think it will -look- any different, because there's obviously intermittent contact.
I haven't seen a comprehensive series of photos of the internals of an SB3 but it's an SB2 in a different form factor, so see http://www.slimdevices.com/photos/inside_squeezebox2/9.jpg for the wireless card and mini-PCI slot.
