Hi, this doesn't solve your problem but before we conclude that the SB has a crappy wlan-setup, maybe one should consider what the metric should be? You said in the first post that "either the IBM has some superantenna or ...". Maybe its not super, just slightly better than the SB.
It just occurs to me that the criticism would be more fair if the arguments was based on comparisons with the IEEE 802.11 standard, taking into account the real world limitations in which the measurments was made. Of course in the you might be right, it's just hard to judge from the arguments you've presented.
