I have not been able to reliably play unprotected AAC (iTunes-Plus) music purchased from the iTunes store. Could your problem and my problem be related? My difficulties began with the installation of Leopard (OS 10.5 update). Look into your Slimserver.log and see what is says (/Users/yourname/Library/Log/slimserver.log)
