Be forewarned, I am not very technically inclined... I have been running my older SB1 off my iMac for years and it has worked great. I just bought a new iMac and have upgraded my network in the process and now SB1 won't work. Here is the deal.
I currently have an iMac running 10.5.1. I have an Airport Extreme hanging off it but the iMac is hardwired. I am using WPA2 which SB1 does not support so I attached my older Netgear router off the Airport Extreme. I am not using any security now on the Netgear (but am using WPA2 on the extreme). The Netgear network is called Squeezebox and the Squeezebox sees it and connects to it. But Squeezebox cannot find slimserver. Is this normal. Any solutions on how I can have the Squeezebox find slimserver via the netgear hanging on the airport extreme? Thanks much for your help.
