I have a similar use for the wired ethernet port. I have a Topfield PVR which has network capability (via a hacked NSLU2 device). I also used my Squeezebox as a wireless access port and it all works very nicely.
I've now had my SB2 for over 2 years and I'm still really pleased with it. Even after this long there's still no other product I'd want to replace it with (other than an SB3 or transporter!). I have one of the Reciva based wi-fi radios in my kitchen and there's no comparison. My main problem with it is that firmware updates are so few and far between and radios seem to really quickly become unsuported in terms of new updates. I wont be buying another and will be throwing the one I have in the bin as soon as a squeezebox boombox becomes available! -- PaulR ------------------------------------------------------------------------ PaulR's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=1220 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=40620 _______________________________________________ discuss mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/discuss
