I tried posting this on the beginner forum but haven't had much response. Can anyone help me out here , my squeezebox has been down for a while and I would really like to get it back running.
I have been running a SB3 for almost a year but recently I moved my music files to a new hard drive and reset the target in slimserver. Now when I try to play a song I get a connection timed out error. I can scroll through the entire music directory so I think communication is fine. The other strange thing is that I can play CBC radio ( internet radio ) fine with no errors. I tried disabling the Mcafee virus protection, I tried installing the latest version of Slimserver, reset router, tried a full rescan, moved the SB3 to beside my wireless router to get 99% signal strength, etc. I even moved the music folder back to the C: drive to see if that was a problem , no luck with anything. I have Windows XP on my desktop. SlimServer Version: 6.5.4 - 12568 - Windows XP - EN - cp1252 Wireless Router Linksys WRT54G Any ideas ?
