Here's my completely unscientific empiric experience, for what it's worth. I live in upstate New York and have a friend in Manhattan who also owns an SB3. He connected to my SqueezeCenter via the Internet and we synced our Squeezeboxes. While speaking to him on the phone, I could hear his Squeezebox playing in the background in what sounded like flawless sync. Like I said, unscientific, but pretty darned impressive to hear!
