Wouldn't that have to be a crossover ethernet cable?

Anyway I'm getting there.  I went to Network Connections/Internet
Gateway/Properties/Settings(Services-Xbox)/Service Settings - where I
changed Name or IP Address of the computer hosting this service on your
network to 192.168.1.100 - which is the SB3.  The IP address of the Xbox
is 192.168.1.103.

I have music from WMP11 playing on the Xbox through the SB3 - a minor
miracle!  Now to figure out video...
