What version of Slimsever are you running? If the Player is on Squeezenetwork (which seems likely if you are using Pandora which is an SN only service) you need to exit SN in order for the player to reconnect to Slimserver.
On the Player menu, do you see an option to "Log out of Squeezenetwork"? If so, select it and Slimserver should see the player again.
