But, that seems to be the cause of the problem. For example, the album "Down from the Mountain" has tracks from several different artists. So, when the album is ripped, those tracks are stored under a "Down from the Mountain" directory under each artist. From what I can tell, post 6.2 slimserver/squeezecenter doesn't appear to be able to deal with this distributed structure and thus creates multiple instances of Down from the Mountain in the albums list. Personally, I ended up simply tagging all tracks in a compilation album with an artist name of the form "<album title> artists" and moved them to a single directory under that pseudo artist name.
