I'm still getting the error, but I worked out my other problem, so it may be moot.
I figured out how to get it to scan updated iTunes stuff; I believe this error might not affect it. If it does, then I will try uninstalling McAfee and checking that out. Thanks for taking the time to reply. I now have it scanning the iTunes library; I assume this error may be more to do with a separate database that slimserver keeps? Maybe I'm just confused, and I'll run into more problems....
