(1) what to do with CDs ... search the forum or elsewhere for "jazz
loft" CD sleeves. Give about a 4:1 space compression over jewel cases
(2) back to the original topic ... a well hidden part of the proposal
being consulted on is that the right to copy ("format shifting") as
proposed by the original Gowers report would only apply to "works
published after the date that the law comes into effect".
Although, to be fair, the current consultation document goes a bit
further and prefers the option to "Allow format shifting of works
copied after the exception takes effect" (note that this would NOT
legalise our existing libraries!).
